Originally slated for a March 2024 debut, conflicting reports have emerged regarding the film’s production status. Christopher Miller, along with his fellow writer-producer Phil Lord have shared that the film is under production.

However, recent reports from insider Alex Perez have revealed that the movie still does not have a definitive release schedule. When asked about any concrete updates about the highly anticipated film, the insider told The Cosmic Circus, “As for the Beyond the Spider-Verse question: When it’s ready.”

Miller and Lord had a similar response soon after Sony delayed the movie in 2023. They shared that they are committed to dedicating the necessary time and effort to ensure the quality of the film, which will be released, “when it is ready,” as per Digital Spy.

Beyond the Spider-Verse Star Revealed Film is Under Development

Earlier, Beyond the Spider-Verse star Brian Tyree Henry shared that the third installment in the Spider-Verse franchise is in the works. Henry has voiced Jeff Morales, Miles’ father in the first two movies and is set to return for the upcoming film.

“It’s in the works, it’s coming,” he told Deadline before adding, “It’s in the works, for sure, and that one is even more epic than the last.” Shameik Moore, who voices Miles Morales in the film series, has also offered some positive updates while teasing what fans can expect from the upcoming film.

Action…you can expect Miles and Gwen. You can expect everything [laughs] you’re expecting the continuation from the second one. You can expect to see The Spot; you can expect some action-packed energy and some dilemmas and problems to solve.

Despite the promising updates from the actors and the makers, the film has no significant release date, leaving fans uncertain about its future. However, Christopher Miller has suggested that the movie will be worth the wait, expressing his desire to give Miles’ story a deeply satisfying conclusion.
