Following her recent on-screen presence in films like Anyone But You and Immaculate, Sydney Sweeney took a break to unwind with friends at her lake house in Northern Idaho, where she spent her formative years.

In a recent interview with Cosmopolitan, the actress reflected on her time off, saying, “It was almost like a challenge to myself, to take a step back and allow myself to go into vacation mode.”
When asked about her friends, the actress also revealed that most of them are not involved in Hollywood. She also shared that it helps her stay connected to her roots and maintain a sense of normalcy and perspective, despite her fame. Sweeney said,
I have a really amazing friend group where there are a few who are in this industry but most of them are not — Most of my friends are still my childhood friends, and that’s why most of them aren’t in the industry because I didn’t grow up in it. It’s very much just going back to my roots.

She also argued that her close-knit friend circle helps her to focus on what truly matters in life. “You get to step out of what I call ‘the bubble,'” she said, noting that it helps her stay humble and connected to reality.
